Die Geschichte dreht sich um einen ganz normalen High School Jungen namens Kakeru Daichi, der sich eine Melonen-Soda kauft. Die Dose verwandelt sich plötzlich in ein schönes Mädchen, das er "Melon" oder "Akikan" (leere Dose) nennt. Das Mädchen Akikan muss immer mit Kohlenstoffdioxid durchdrungen sein, dass sie von Küssen bekommt, um zu überleben.
